Kim Joo-young

Kim Joo-young works with buncheong stoneware, using white slip decoration to adorn her pieces, often featuring peony designs. In Korea, the peony is revered as the "king" of flowers due to its large blooms and vibrant colors, making it a common symbol of royalty. The flower is also associated with wealth, prosperity, and nobility. The combination of the peony’s symbolism and the elegance of buncheong stoneware results in pieces that convey both cultural depth and timeless beauty.
