Jung So-yun’s textile works take on organic forms that reflect her personal experiences and emotions. She plays with transparency and opacity, density and lightness—qualities she builds through a delicate process of transformation using both handwork and sewing machine. Her creative energy is deeply rooted in a sense of emptiness and longing for her father, who passed away during her adolescence. Her method—layering fine threads over time—mirrors the quiet, poetic life she leads in a remote village in South Korea.
